As a Southern California native, I grew up going to the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden more times than I could count. Strolling through the acres of different types of gardens, with plants from all over the world, I was instantly drawn in. I’m not sure if it was the Native Oak Trees or the Jungle Forest, but I felt a special connection to the mystical world of plants and gardens.
I began my landscape design career by designing my own garden over 20 years ago. With two young children, I had put up a picket fence in the front yard to keep them from running into the street, and slowly started adding all types of plants, from Eden Climber Roses to French Lavender and Hydrangeas. Soon after, neighbors and passersby began contacting me to design their gardens. What started as my childhood passion has grown into a thriving business since 2001.
As my thirst for plant knowledge and design grew, I attended classes through the UCLA Extension Landscape Design Program, which gave me a comprehensive education about plants, trees, irrigation, fertilizers and other tools for creating not only beautiful but lasting gardens.
When designing a garden, I always work together with clients to figure out the best design plan for their budget. I manage plant and tree sizes and also serve as project supervisor to ensure that all the materials are at the job site in order to create a seamless workflow. I also work with clients to best match the plant varieties to their home’s architectural style.
In addition to my plant designs, some of my design projects include: Low Voltage Lighting, Pool and Spa Design, Fire Pits, Water Features, Built-in Barbecues and more.
I can design a beautiful, landscaped yard and outdoor space that will surely enhance your time outside in the garden.
